Why Is Cutting Down Trees Bad?

Learning Intention: I am learning to write a persuasive text using information to persuade readers my point of view is right.

I believe cutting down trees is so bad because we will have no oxygen to breathe. People destroy the animals and birds' home. They will become extinct. Some of the birds will migrate to another country. The cave men will not have food and shelter. Also cutting down trees causes erosion. The soil will get washed away. We will get sunburn because we will have no shade.
I believe that cutting down trees should not be allowed.

Our Autumn Tree

The Autumn Tree looks beautiful and colourful. The Twirling Twirling Twirling leaves are falling from the autumn tree. The red and gold and yellow and brown leaves are gliding, fluttering and floating softly to the ground. The autumn tree is slowly losing its pretty leaves. Soon the branches will be bare. There will be nothing left for them to wear.

A Good Neighbour

On day a man was going on a trip. Suddenly robbers behind the rocks hit him. They took all the things he had with him. Then there was a man who worked in God's temple saw the hurt man. But he didn't help him. There was another man but he didn't help him too. There was a man from another country who saw the hurt man. He helped the hurt man.  Jesus said you can be a neighbour to anyone who needs your help.
The lesson I learn from the story is I can be a neighbour to anyone who needs my help.

Trip To The Swimming Pool

In the holidays I went to Papatoetoe swimming pool with my family. I jumped into the pool with a splash. I got to the surface and I saw mum squirting water with a water gun. My dad gave me a picky back and also gave me a ride.
I enjoyed it.

The Creation Story

On the first day God made the light. He called it day and he called the dark night. On the second day God made the sky. On the third day God made flowers, mountains, trees, islands, rivers and beaches. On the fourth day God made the fiery sun, sparkling moon and the dancing stars. On the fifth day God made the birds to glide in the sky and God made fish. On the sixth day God made man and animals. And on the seventh day God rested.

Save The Earth Our Common Home

Learning Intention: We are learning to understand that God wants us to care for His Creations.

Caring for Our Earth...Our Common Home

Yesterday Room 2 picked up rubbish from the school field. God gave us the Earth to enjoy but we spoiled it.
If we keep littering, our school will not be a safe place to learn. All of this rubbish will get into the drains when it rains. The rain will flush the rubbish out to the sea or into our rivers. As a result the eels and the fish and all the living things will die.
We should put our rubbish in our lunch box and take it home. Please don't litter. Save our Common Home.

Our Holiday Up North

During the holidays I went up to Northland with my family. We went by car and dad was the driver.
We went to the  Waitangi Treaty Ground. We saw a New Zealand flag, a Britain flag and an England flag . The people dressed in their Maori costumes. They sang and danced to us. Then we went to James Busby's house. I saw lots of books on the table and a real life pig and it could'nt move. We also saw a waka and a big Kauri tree that was cut off.
We had a great time.
